THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION In the barracks on Desk Street and in the Festetics Castle in Fo Street in Keszt hely, there are about 500 infantrymen of the Hungarian Army, when have been there since the beginning of .,may 1950 L, They are given daily instruc- ticn on the field which was fora rly used by the Tank Officers' School. The infantrymen are armed with rifles, pistols,, and machine gtans0 The Tank School no longer .f uncti ons a 2, The cla:;s of 1928 began its military service at the beginning of Lay 1950. The call-up of the remainder of the class of 1927 and of the entire class of 1929 is being prepared. 3, At Llarcal.i a four-story barracks, suitable for an infantry battalion, is under construction and will soon be finished. 4. The 3 13a ttalion of the Plarkanizsa Fusiliers Regiment is stationed at Zalaegerszeg with a total complement of approximately 1,800 men, There is t:tl a a battalion of frontier troops numbering over 500 men. 5. Near the town of aztergom there is a rocky mountain, the aator-Ilegy, where caves were recently being dug, apparently to serve as dumps. Near this site a new barracks has been built to replace the one destroyed by bombs in the last year of the war.
