Investigations are under way in Saxony-Anha1t to determine the-f"
interest of IG-Farben in firms sequestered or taken over by the
government of the province? A list of the firms in question
will be found in Attachment A.
Some interests of IG-Farben have already been determined. The
Dr. Alexander Wacker Gesellsc1baft f'1r eleetrochemische Industrie
GmbH, of Munich., which has two plants, Chemowerk and Ferro ?werk,
in I.Mckenberg, derives 20,000,000 Rr,'P or fifty percent of its
capital, from IG--Farben (this firm is now confirmed as taken over
by the Province of Saxony-Anhalt). 781,000 RM of the 800,000 RM
capital of the firm G.C. Dornheim Magdebu?g-Neustadt, i.s
owned by Gustav Gensohow and Co. AG, a majority of whose stock
is controlled by an IG-Farbon subsidiary, Dynamit AG. Other
firms whose connection with the IG-Farben interests is under
investigation are I. F. Flsfel_d GmbH, Silberhltte, Arthalt, and
Kleinwohnungsbau falls AG, of 'Halle/Saale. Attachment B
contains letters from these firms concerning the investigation.
