REPORT NO.
1. The Committee for Free Albania addrees~d a petition to the Greek
Government urging that all Albanians 'e'utside of Greece be ,permitted
to assemble in Greece without religious discrimination. The petition
also asked the Greek Government to support the Committee and collabo-
rate with it in the struggle against Hoxha. Muharrem Bajraktari's
recent visit to the Greek moreign Office is reported to have been con-
nected with this petition.
2. The Committee also sent 8ajraktari an order to the effect that he
notify all Albanians in Greece to unite with the Committee and not
to attach themselves to the various Albanian parties.
3. The Committee is reported to have requested the governments of the
United States and Great Britain also to encourage the concentration
of all Albanians In Greece wafer the auspices of the Committee. The
Committee is reported to have charged those leaders of Albanian
groups who have be...e.n/f opposing the Committee with collaboration with
the enemy during ~61d War II.
4. It is reported that, when the Committee for Free Albania was formed
in Paris, the sum of $83,000 was sent to it from Albanians in America,
and .{45,000 i from the Albanians in Australia.
5. The Albanian church of New York, "St. George", is reported to have pro-
tested to the United States Goverigent over the type of persons v o
constitute the Committee for Free AlbAAi.a,, and the Archbishop of Gjino-
kaster, Panteleimon, is reported to have encouraged such a protest.
