Dear Bob,
How nice to hear from you after all these
years -- and thanks for your kind words on my
present job. It's been a long time since our
days together on the ROWAN and, like you, little
did I suspect then that I would one day become
the Director of Central Intelligence. It's a
challenging and stimulating job though and I'm
enjoying myself immensely.
As told you on the telephone,
my schedule is a it 1 the day you will be here
in Washington. I do hope, however, we can get
together during one of your other trips this way
in the not too distant future. In the meantime,
thanks again for writing and all the best.
