A large six story modern building erected at 2 Calea Transilvanias Bucharest, by Construction Enterprise No, 2 of the Ministry of Constructions was . finished in June 1950.- This work was done for the Comitetul de Radiodificare si Radiodifuziunes which is a state institution controlled directly by the Council of Ministers. The cost is estimated at 36 million leis which sum includes the cost of extensions to a building at 108 Calea Stirbei-Voda which was later taken over by the Ministry of Armed Forces. 2. Apparatus installed in the building a. One electric generator serving as power source for the building in addition to the municipal power source. b., One complete Ofrequency-testing installation with the aid of which the frequencies of broadcasts could be tested and adjusted if necessary. 3. Nominally the whole sixth floor is reserved for the frequency testing work., which however occupies only one room. The remaining rooms of the sixth floor are occupied by a multiple-wave broadcasting stations probably imported station comprises apparatus with mobile aerials which can be taken out on the large terrace stretching along the -idiole front of the building. This the sixth floor, it is strictly forbidden to enter a. The station is actually used to jam 25X1 Ibro adcasts. 25X1 b. On the same floor there is also a military transmission station using a 15-meter wave length and a fixed aerial.
