the 41 A my was commanded by WU K'o-hua (0702/0344/5478),
with WEN Yu-ch'eng (3306/3768/2052)2 his deputy commander, OU-YANG Wen (2962/
7122/211.29) as political commissar, LI Fu-tse (2621/4395/3419) as chief of
staff, and LI Pai-ling (2621/4102/0109) as chief of the Political Department.
The headquarters of the 41 Army, with a total of 3,000 men, was at Swatow.
The subordinate divisions were disposed as follows.
a. The headquarters of the 121 Division was at Swatow with regiments in
the Ch'aoan (N 23-42) E 116-37)-Nanao (N 23-22) E 117-06)-Huilai (N 23-03)
E 116-18)-Chiehyang (N 23-32) E 116-20) area.
b. The headquarters of the 122'Division was at Huiyang (N 23-05) E 114-26)

with regiments in the Haifeng (N 22-58, E 115-20)-Lufeng (N.22-58, E 115-38)
area.
c. The headquarters of the 123 Division was at Tsengch'eng (N 23-16) E 113-49),
with regiments along the Canton-Huiyang highway.
4. I (five public security regiments, with a total strength of
5,500 men) were under the command of TS'''AI Kuo-liaig (N 5591/0948/2856),
commander of the East River Military Sub-District.
5. Ithe Kwan~tung 5 Public Security Division was in Ch'uchiang 25X1
F 113-18) and P'ingshihhsu (approximately N 25-18, E 113-01). The 14
Regiment at Juyuan (N 24-49, E 113-04); and the 15 Regiment at Shihhs.ing
(N 25-02, E 114-03).
1Comment. Available information indicates that WU was formerly
accepted as commander of the 43 Army and WANG Kuo-hsing (3769/0948/5381)
as commander of the 41 Army. The present commander of the 41 Army is
unknown.
