The pier is about 150 meters in length.
The depth of the sea from the head of the pier and at most quays is about
23 feet. On the left and right of the pier, the depth is 16 feet. ~ I 25X1
There are two cranes on iron tracks at the Northeastern shore,
in front of the Port Authorities building. The iron tracks are about
300-400 meters long. The cranes hava hoisting power of 10 tons
Four revolving floating cranes having a lifting power of ten
tons have been installed on 1 cement ships which appear to be of German
make.
There is a floating tank at the Northeastern part of the shore
near the red light at the entrance of the port. It is for ships up to
5000 tons.
There are cement factories and shipyards located to the right and
beyond the Port Authoritip: This is a prohibited area.

There were 4 iron barges having a capacity of 60-70 tons each.
They were being tugged. There were 4 tugboats and a lifeboat bearing the name,
"MOSKHA".

destroyers slightly lighter grey in color, and 2 ships of the auxilliary navy.
A great activity of crewmen of the Soviet Navy was observed in
the city. The port is used as a Naval Base. Unloading of mines and ammunition
in boxes, took place at night at the northern section of the shore. When the
unloading was taking place, all the lights of the western section were out.
No military activity was observed.
A Soviet passenger ship docked at the pier in front of the
Port Authorities daily. It was not confirmed to what ports it goes to.
The name of the passenger ship was the "LENINGRAD".
