General: The enterpr{se consists of a few civilian dwellings which were
requisitioned and converted by the Germans during the war, and also of other

The three subsidiaries in question are located in various parts of the

The management, which superintends the activity of all three subsid'ar~'es,

3. Transformer house

This is a small building up against the west wall of the factory, where
an electric
/generator is installed. The build+ng was built between the end of 1954
and the first few days of January 1955.
Before that time, transformers and generators were installed in a wooden
shed at the same location.
The four transformers installed in the building were produced by the
rtEZ Enterprise.
They receive 20,A00 volt current and transform it as follows:

- 2 lathes, trade mark FLORIP, of German manufacture, received ;n 1952
as war reparat?ons. One,~cinstalled at point "x", is 20 meters ~~,

The two lathes are used for the production of "sales" for the p'ne-mak'ng
machines. hese machines are shout 3~ meters long and 25X1

can operate ~'ndiv'dually or coupled.

Description: The Foundry is a bu'lding of old construction, which was
enlarged and modern{zed in 1950-51. Dimensionalabout 80 x 15 meters.
Two coal furnaces, old model, of unknown capacitq,
are installed in it.
A steel ahimneq of medium height.. rises above the roof.
Electric t,~ower Su~~'~,
The foundry has its own generator, which is operated bq a 100-horsepower
Diesel motor.
Electric power for the factory
The electric power for the factory is received from the electric power
plant at Trutnov, as mentioned in the description of the transformer house.
Factory's transport equipment .

Alue- and white-collar workers can eat i~~ the factory ~ dining
hall. Meals cost 2.70 crowns ~~.each. The factory is responsible for
making up the discrepancy between the Fixed price and the real cost of the
meals.

Guard
Guard duty is the responsibilitq of a group of "industr~a.l guards" (mem-
bers of a corps similar to that of the "sworn guards"). The guards carry p;stole.
