45 Infantry Division at Leskovac
1, The headquarters of the 45 Infantry Division which comprises three infantry
regiments and one artillery regiment, is at Leskovac. One of these regiments
is stationed at Leskovac together with the regimental commando The second or
163 Regiment is at Pirot, and the third infantry regiment is part at Vlasotinci,
and part at Grdelica. The artillery regiment is at Vlasotinci,
2. The 163 Infantry Regiment comprises three infantry and'one artillery battalion.
The latter is composed of two batteries of 7.62 and 4,5 guns largely of the
Soviet model. Maneuvers are usually carried out toward Caribrod. The
regimental command comprises the following unitss
a. Mortar company with Soviet 82 mm, caliber mortars;
b. Rifle platoon with Soviet 14.5 rifles -
c. Communications platoon;
do Machine gun company, with German model machine guns-
e. Transportation company with two automobiles and five Praha trucks; and
f. Chemical warfare platoon.
51 Infantry Division at Osijek
The headquarters of the 51 Infantry Division is at Osijek. The 49 Rifle
Regiment stationed at Vinkovci is under the Jurisdiction of this division. 50X1-HUM
The 49 Rifle Regiment is commanded by a certain
Lt. Col, Mihalic, The political commissar is a certain Captain Curie. The
regiment comprises three or four battalions and one artillery unit or
battalion which is composed of three batteries. A single battery of the
artillery unit or battalion is equipped with Soviet 7.62 mm, guns- anti-tank
cannons of 4,5 mm. caliber, and 120 and 82 mm. caliber mortars. The following
units are attached to the command of the 49 Rifle Regiments

a. Mortar platoon;
b. Machine gun platoon equipped with Soviet machine guns of the
Degrjatev model;
c. Platoon of hand=carrying mortars;
d. Chemical warfare unit; and
e. Rear echelon command.
Rifle Division
4. The 54 Rifle Division which has headquarters in Pozarevac comprises three
rifle regiments. The regiments are stationed at Pozarevac, Petrovac na
Mlavi, and at Zagubica. An artillery regiment, which has not as yet been
brought to its full strength, is likewise attached to the division. The
54 Division is attached to the Corps at Kragujevac.
5. The rifle regiment which is stationed at Pozarevac has approximately
900 men. The regiment comprises three battalions. The following units
are attached to the regimental commands
a. Artillery battalion comprising Soviet and Yugoslav armaments;
b. Communications company;
c. Dispensary; and
d. Automobile company.
6. Every company comprises a machine gun platoon equipped with German
armament, a mortar platoon of 82 mm. mortars, and a platoon of hand-
caring mortars. The automobile company is in charge of the transporta-
tion of arms from Kragujevac to Pozarevacs, Stara Gradiska, Zagubica, and 50X1-HUM
Velika Orasja. It has 12 trucks and a number of jeeps and passenger
vehicles. The company is commanded by Capt. Ostojic.
