INFORMATION REPORT
a. Between Erfurt and Arnstadt, 4 kin south of Erfurt, and about 80 in. west of the
junction of the Erfurt-Arnstadt main ros.d and the road to Stadtilm stands a
mast about ;0 in. high with two parabolic reflectors facing SW and NE.
b. On a dwelling house in Erfurt, Schillerstrasse No. 66, a peculiarly shaped aerial
a. In Mockar., east of Stralsunderstrasse, near the junction of Stralsunderstrasse
and Alte 'iohe-3trasse, stand three 20 in, high masts, with aerials stretched
between them.
b. In the city center, on the Rathaus Turm, two parabolic reflectors about
0.8 in. diameter were seen, facing SSE and NW.
C,. Since the beginning of February two parabolic reflectors, 0.8 in. and 2 in.
diameter approximately, have been mounted near the radio station aerials in
Karl-Marx-(Augustus) Platz, Leipzig. The reflectors face Nt1.

3. Dresden Sites
b. A 12 in. high mast stands in the ground: of Koenigsbrueckrerstrasse No. 89/90.
Living quarters for Russians are situated there, and the grounds are
surrounded by a high fence.
c. Three 15 in. high and one 50 in, high masts were seen) Ion an en-
closed site about 2 Km. east of Birkenhain, between Wilsdruf and Birkenhain, 25X1
on the south side of the Autobahn. The 50 m, ')igh mast appears to be of a
cylindrical hollow metal construction, about 0,.6 in. in diameter. The foot of
the 50 in. mast tapers to a pointed cone. Thc. area is lighted at night by
arc lamps: three red position lights are fixed to the 50 in. mast at different
heights. Two small wooden watch towers are to be seen in the area.
Two 20 in. high steel masts, painted red and white, are situated in the grounds
of.Edwin-Hoernle-Strasse No. 60, Dresden-Hellerau, at a point about 500 in.
northeast of the Autobahn bridge crossing Hellerau-aehnitz. One of the masts
carries two parabolic reflectors, facing SW and SE..
A mast about 40 in. high, with two parabolic reflectors was seen at Frauenstein
on 13 February. The direction of the paraboloids could not be ascertained
because of the poor light conditions.

and from the main road from Erfurt to Weimar. The area NE of Erfurt is 25X1
substantially flat and free from large woods.1
Reported installation: 2 masts east of Weimar, south of the road to Umpferstedt.
The area was searched by eye from the road Weimar to Umpferstedt and from the
road from Umpferstedt leading south to the Autobahn. The area is almost flat
and is not wooded. ,2

1. A large crane was to be seen on a wooded hill 6 km. north of Erfurt. This might
possibly be mistaken for an electronic installation at a distance.
2. Heaps of earth were seen in the area; telephone wires east of Umpferstedt on the
Ottern road had been recently removed, and only the stumps of the wooden poles
remained in the ground. An installation may have-been recently removed from the
area,
