SIGNIFICANCE: BOMB DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED THROUGHOUT THE PORT SAID NAVAL BASE AND SURROUNDING PORT, AREA. 2. LOCATION: PORT SAID NAVAL BASE AT 25X1 31-15-25N 032-18-18E, ON THE MEDITERREAN SEA, IS AT THE NORTHERN END OF THE SUEZ CANAL. BEEN PUNCTURED. A NEARBY POL PIPELINE ALSO RECEIVED DAMAGE RESULTING IN AN OIL SLICK IN THE HARBOR AREA. THERE WERE NO SECONDARY FIRES RESULTING FROM THE BOMBING. 3. NUMEROUS BOMB CRATERS WERE OBSERVED WITHIN THE IMMEDIATE 2. AT LEAST ONE LARGE POL TANK ? APPEARED.TO HAVE 25X1 3. MISSION READOUT: BOMB DAMAGE TO THE PORT SAID NAVAL BASE AND SURROUNDING PORT AREA INCLUDED: 1. TWO MAINTENANCE/REPAIR BUILDINGS AT THE NAVAL HEADQUARTERS WERE COMPLETELY DESTROYED.
