The following tables were compiled from figures contained in the budget
speech of the Minister of Finance Ukrainian SSR. It should be noted that in
the breakdown of allocations to the national economy the categories "capital
investment," "capital repair," and "working capital' represent functional dis-
tributions of allocations and are not to be construed as representing additional
expenditures from the budget over the allocations to the various branches of the
economy. Furthermore, the breakdown of the national economic and social and
cultural activities is not necessarily complete and the figures, therefore, do
not always add up to the totals for these main categories.
