1. Reference is made to the requirement surfaced at the
Compartmentation Subcommittee Meeting, 28 February 1984
to provide updated examples for inclusion in the DCI
SECOM-D-021 study of harassments by foreign intelligence
operatives.

1. Reference: DCI publication entitled "A Study of Harassments and
Provocations" (U) dated 24 June 1982.
2. Your interest in obtaining additional input concerning Subject has
recently been referred to the Special Operations Detachment (SOD) by Mr.
Gordon Tyler, a Liaison Officer of this Detachment.
3. In connection with Subject, debriefings of U.S. Army attache person-
nel formerly assigned to Defense Attache Offices (DAOs) in Soviet bloc
countries have been reviewed., These debriefings which were conducted
from June 1982 to the present contained numerous incidents of harassment
and provocation which may be of interest to your office.
4. A report containing descriptions of these incidents are attached as
an inclosure to this letter.
