Eleven cattle ears, carrying armored troops formerly stationed at Poznan and Opole (Oppeln),,and seven miscellaneous cars arrived at "sistka (Stolpmxen.de) on 16 May 1952 from Slupsk (8tolp). 50X1-HUM (Jershoeft - ). I Nev units are being activated and large amounts of building materials are being transported to the area betweenlcrolowe Plaze (sic) and Aiaroslawiec form part of larger units being activ ted.along the Polish coast.. A greater number of trains than usual,, carrying: supplies for Soviet and Polish units,; is moving through Slupsk to Starcgard and to Kolobr?zeg (:olberg) Nev tank and motorized artillery arena. have appeared: at BSranfewo (Bra .sberg), Malbork (Marieizburg), Wrzeszcz,, Wejherowo and Ustka. The tank units are equipped mostly with fi_31 tanks, but also with Stalin tasks.. All the units tars rail transports, carrying mostly heavy equipment from the 'Q'S; 6. Polish guards have been posted at the railroad stations in Gdynia, Sopot, Gdansk, Wrzeszez, Slupsk, and.. There has been an increase in movements of Soviet military transports ij the Szczecin area; .the activity is equal to that in 1947 when the area was returned to Polish control. The material consisted mainlyof artillery tanks, and vehicles. The trains go from Poznan. and. from D nrr, Vbrs adt. (ale) to and through Szczecin, to USedom (Vznam):island, other. German Baltic islands;. Soviet troops are being moved in closed 50X1-HUM cars attached to ordinary freight trains, which bypass larger railroad .stations. 10. Naval and coastal artillery units have been added to the Soviet garrizolft in Swinoujscie (Swinemuende). 11. Soviet units formerly at Szczecin left for Gryfino (Greifenhag n. - 054/Q53) anadChojnica (Koenigsberg in.:der 'eumark - 053/00l' 53/Q0), reportedly for maneuvers. 12. Between Cho j i:i.ca and Eberswalde, at least five airfields are- being rebuilt by the Russians at which large Soviet Air Force units with numerous planes (possibly some jet aircraft) are stationed. There is now one Soviet parachute unit in the vicinity of erswaide. 14. There has been no change in the Polish units in the Szczeci Comment, ants were in progress in the Gdansk-Wrzeszcz area.
