THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
In April 1952 eleven scientists, a female interpreters and an office staff
of two persons` arrived in East.Berlin from the USSR. There they proceeded
to occupy a'la? ge, two-story building, with surrounding grounds, at Berlin-
Fr,edrichsfelde, Wilhelmstrasse 6.

(phonetic).
In late April 1952 the house was guarded by the People's Police.

In conneotion with the z esearah' on cotton' a high government officcial9
concerned with the textileindustrya has stated that several hundred
women employed in the cotton mills of Thueringia were taken. ill in
late April 19521-tw6 women died, The symptoms were said to be swollen
lungs and a bluish skin.2

since there have been no Russian research institutes in Germany9 aside

temperature to 102.2 ? 103.10 F. Lengenfeld is in Saxony near the borders
of Thuer ingia.
