The summer airplane schedule of the Civil Air Fleet will go into effect on
5 April. The Stalinabad-Moscow flight will run every other day until i5 June,
after which this flight will be daily. Planes will fly the Stalinabad-Baku
route every other day. On 1 June, direct air connections between Leningbad and
Moscow will be available. There will be 20 flights a month on this route.
Flight times will be shortened significantjy. The entire journey from
Sta).inabnd to Moscow will be made In 15 flying hours. The trip from Baku. to
Stalinabad will take 10 flying hours.

After a winter pause, airplanes are once more flying between Baku and Khe.rkov,

of the Civil Air Fleet began to operate on the summer schedule on 5 April

at midnight strive in Khabarovsk in 15j hours. The Novosibirsk-Yakutsk flight
takes 11 hours and the Novosibirsk-TTahkent flight tales 11 hours, 25 minutes.
Passenger planes are equipped with buffets, serve tea, coffee, pastry,
etc., and passengers may carry any amount of baggage. The Civil Aar Fleet
opened resort lines to Minerel'nyyo Yody and Adler in May. Passengers arrive
in these resorts on the second day.

Thb Novosibirsk Airport advertises that flights from Novosibirsk to

to'Irkutak, 5 hours, 10 minutes; to Sverdlovsk, 4 hours, 45 minutes; to
Alma-Ata 7 hours, 10.tTnutes; to Kemerovo, 1 hour; and to Tomsk, 1 hour.
Sale of passenger tickets and acceptance of all typed of freight is on a
24-hourschedule atthb Novosibirsk airport and from 1000 to 1830 at the
City Air Transport Agency. The airport also accepts air mail nd packages
and concludes contracts for regular freight transport. Airport bases transport
passengers from the city agency, 11 Miohurin Street.
TALLIN STARTS, SUMMIR SCLB -- Sovetskaya Nstoniya, No 77, 2 Apr 49
The Tallin Airport to starting regular plane service on the summer
schedule beginning 5 April 1949. Flights to Moscow will be made every other
day (even dates' at 0740 and flights to Leningrad will be made dally.
AIR-BAIL PASSENGER TRANSPORT OP&YSD -- Moskovskiy Bolshevik, No 90, 17 Apr 49
Combination air-rail passenger transport has been opened on all lines of
the Administration of Civil Air Fleet. This service enables a passenger to
travel to the limit of air service and then transfer to the railroad, thus
shortening the time spent enroste. It takes 52 hours to travel from Moscow
to Poroshilov (Priaorskiy Brays) by this method as compared with 240 hours by
rail. Air-rail service has been established between Moscow and Murmansk,
Magnitogorsk, Chkalov, and other towns.
