There are five such schools in Poland. After the April 1950 reorganization, a 4-year course was introduced in these lyceums open to students with 7 years of elementary schooling. The Gronowo lyceum prepares students for the following; positions: technical inspectors, techni- cal clerk-supervisors in machine centers, machine center managers, mecLaniza- tion managers at PGR, technical managers in repair shops at TOR, PGR, POM, and SOM repair shop managers, regional machinery inspectors, mechanization clerk-supervisors in central and regional administrations of PGR, TOR, and POM. In June 1950, 170 students will graduate from these five lyceums. This number is far too small to satisfy the demand for skilled help. The Central Administration of PCR alone has asked for 760 graduates. During the 1950-51 aca',~mic year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform will open four more lyceums of this type.
