THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The Synthesia plant in Semtin is located on the right side of the Pardubice-
Bohdanec state highway; the major part of the plant is built in a forest 2 x
1.5 kilometers in area. The new of the plant is Synthesia, National Corpora-
tion Semtin; the plant has its 3Vn directorate.
2. The general manager of the plant in the chairman of the Communist Party organi-
zation, Mr (fun) Zizka; Mr (fnu) tradl is the cadres' manager. The total
number of employees of this plant is 4,000 men and women.
3. The plant is divided into two sections, the Semtin Plant and the Plant in
Rybitvi, near Pardubice. The Plant in Tcybitvi makes plastics, poisons, dyes,
chemical and pharmaceutical products and fertilizers. The plant in Semtin is
divided into two sectors, A and B. Sector A makes sulphuric acid and nitric
acid. A certain amount of the acids produced go to the nitrate division and
from there to division B where explosives are made.
4. "Doranit" is produced in smell rolls in red wrapping; the average daily output
is four to five freight cars. Dynami.a ii panted in black and blue wrappings
(also ralls); average daily production is three freight ears. Nitroglyatirine
production is five to six freight care per day.
5. "Metanit" is a new. explosive. the production of which was
