USSR ACADEMY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES MEETS
The Academy of Social Sciences under the TeK VKP(b) held a large-scale
celebration in honor of Stalin's 70th birthday anniversary (21 December).
Forty-six academy members made speeches. The session was opened by A. I.
Kovalevskiy, rector of the academy, after which the following speakers were
heard:

Stalin -- Coryphaeus of Marxist-Leninist Science."

Policy of the Soviet State."
B. N. Ponomarev, professor -- "I. V. Stalin and the International Commu-
nist Movement."

dra) of VKP(b) History:
