THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION The Hungarian brick and tile industry is working; on a production program of 200 million tiles and /160 million bricks. This program has already proved itself badly planned, as the actual need is for more bricks and fewer tiles. In consequence, eleven brick factories which had stopped production, have been restarted in an effort to fill the gape There are 180 brick and tile factories working at present., but only 56 are of real significance. These 56 are nationalized concerns. Of this production program, 76 - 80 only can be completed, because of the following obsta.cless a. Inferior coal b. Tractors, lorry engines and threshing machines are to be produced here. Four foundries are to be constructed for the iron works.
