Electrical Industry
The Kiev Tochelektropribor Plant pledges:
1. To fulfill the 10-month gross-production plan on 15 October.
2. To lower production costs 2 percent beyond the plan.
3. To fulfill the 1952 plan for increasing labor productivity by 1 October.
4. To build four new types of electrical instruments and to produce experi-
mental models of five types of precision high-speed relays for the Kuybyshev-
Aoscov power line.(l)
.a Vil'nyus Electric Meter Plant pledges:
1. To fulfill the 1952 plan on 28 December.
2. To produce 5,000 electric meters above the plan.
3. To increase labor productivity 4 percent.
4. To lover production costs 2 percent below the plan.
5. To save 8 percent more raw and other materials and electric power than
the plan calls for.

6. To save 500,000 rubles by raising labor productivity and lowering pro-
duction costs.
The Vil'nyus El'fa Electrical Equipment Plant pledges:
1. To fulfill the 1952 plan on 25 December.
2. To exceed the production plan by 180,000 rubles.
3. To increase labor productivity 2 percent.
4. To increase production 12 percent.
5. To save 5 percent more raw and other materials, fuel, and electric power
than the plan calls for.
6. To lover production costs 2 percent beyond the plan.
7. To save at least 300,000 rubles above the plan.
8. To speed up the turnover of working capital by 5 days.(2)
The Leningrad Elektrosila Plant imeni S. M. Kirov pledges:
1. To fulfill with excellent-quality products the orders for turbo and hydro-
generators, electric motors, and other machines for electric power stations and
GES, as noted in the draft directive of the 19th Congress of VKP(b) for the fifth
Five-Year Plan.
2. To fulfill the 9-month plan on 20 September and to exceed production
goals by millions of rubles.
3. To exceed by 8 percent the 9-month plan to increase labor productivity.
4. To utilize organizational and technical measures which will save
5,700,000 rubles annually; to introduce 1,100 innovators' suggestions and owing
to this, to save 4,200,000 rubles annually.
5. To produce above the plan from the material saved in 1952, turbogenera-
tors with a total capacity of 50,000 kilowatts.
6. To make preparations, in 1952, for the production of the first 105,000_
kilowatt generator for the Kuybyshev GES.
7. To produce the first hydrogenerator for the largest fifth Five-Year Plan
construction project, the Gor'kiy GES project.
8. In connection with the 19th Party Congress directive concerning the ex-
ploitation of the power resources of the Angara River, to complete plans for
building a superpower hydrogenerator on 20 September 1952.
9. To increase considerably the quality of its products and to lower losses
due to rejects.
The Tashkent Electric Cable Plant pledges:
1. To fulfill the 9-month plan on 27 September, and to produce above the
plan 70 kilometers of power cable, 40 kilometers of control cable, 60 tons of
bare cable, and other products with a total value of 2,500,000 rubles.

To attain a higher quality of products an, lower losses from rejects.
2. To fulfill the most important orders for excavator cable used at the Kuy-
byshev GES project and for railroad blocks. To produce cable for the petroleum
industry ahead of schedule.
3. To save, in 9 months, 1,200,000 rubles and 700,000 kilowatt-hours of
electric power.
4. To exceed by 6 percent the plan for increasing labor productivity in Sep-
tember.(4)
The Leningrad Sevkabel' Plant pledges:
1. To fulfill the September plan 102.8 percent.
2. To exceed the 1952 plan for increasing labor productivity.

Communications Equipment Industry
The Riga VEF Plant pledges:
1. To fulfill the 9-month plan on 15 September and to exceed the plan for
commodity output by several million rubles..

2. To build six new types of products during the third quarter.
3. To exceed its 9-month assignment for labor productivity by 5.5 percent.
4. To save one million rubles during the third quarter by using innovators'
suggestions.
5. To lover rejects 30 percent below the second quarter total.
6. To Save the following during the third quarter: 50,000 kilo-
watt-hours of electric power, 25 tons of ferrous metals, and 5 tons of nonfer-
rous metals.(9)
The Minsk Radio Plant, Ministry of Local Industry, Belorussian SSR, pledges:
1. To fulfill the 9-month plan on 26 September.
2. To exceed the production plan by hundreds of thousands of rubles.
3. To produce the Belarus' Class 1 radio set and to develop a new model
radiophonogmph.(10)
