USSR EXPLOITS BULGARIAN URANIUM COPPER MINES -- Paris, La Bulgarie Libre

The uranium mines of Stara Zagora, Bukhovo, and Murgach are the exclusive
property of the USSR. They are controlled by several detachments of political
police from Moscow. The ore is sent in lead care to Stalin on the Black Sea.
From there, Soviet ships take it to Odessa, from where it is shipped directly
to atomic installations in Siberia.
The same thing is true of the copper mines near Samokov, which had been
untouched until 1951. The following Soviet engineers and specialists are
directing the operation of the mines: Liniav,Obraitsov, Kazlovski, Soldatenko,
and Kiselev.
