1o On 10 November 1951, the IIindenl:-arg Kaserne on the north side of Max Lieber
r]ann.strasse in Leipzig (N 52/1 21) quartered about 1.00 troops including
sore wearing black-bordered crimson epaulets and air force soldiers wearing
black- I ordered blue epaulets. (1) About 50 sedans,, 10 trucks and 4 busses,
most of them carrying wreaths', assembled between 9:45 and 10 a.m. on 7
November. The vehicles had cone from the direction of O.Lbrie.,;htst 50X1-HUM

western section of the installation apparently housed a supply depot. There

Prior to 10 november, the Treitschke :aserne on the east side of O1bricht-
strassc vies occupied by about 4:00 trop s who wore black-ybordered 4

who wore red-1b, ordered black epaulets, including some with

Prior to 10 November, the Flak Kaserne at Leipzig-4leitexbljck was occupied
by about 1,200 troops who wore red-.bordered black epaulets. Two officers
wore tank insignia. On 5 November troops practiced with three tanks at the
50X1-HUM
civilians and officers, were repeatedly seen driving to SAGs and to workshops
working for the Soviets. (7)
