1. As you are aware, excellent progress has been made on the .4J
first two deliverables of the Automated Compensation and Information
2. In reviewing the Compensation Division hardware requirements
for these deliverables, it has been determined a minimum of two 25X1
Delta Data terminals are required to support ARESS and four to
support the initial implementation of ELECTAS. Of our current
allocation of three new terminals for Compensation Division, a total
of two have been designated for ARESS support with the remaining one
scheduled for ELECTAS. This will still leave us three terminals
short to meet the minimum requirements for ELECTAS implementation.
ELECTAS will provide tangible benefits for and improve service to
the entire Agency, and I am sure you agree that its successful
implementation is mandatory. Your assistance is needed in providing
three additional terminal installations in Key Building.
3. It is requested that you approve the allocation of three
additional Delta Data terminals to the office of Finance to support
the ARESS and ELECTAS operations.
Automated Retirement and Separation System (ARESS) is already in
place and the balance is now in the final testing stages. The
Electronic Time and Attendance System (ELECTAS) is also in final
testing and is scheduled for implementation in May 1986.
