On 19 Larch 1951, single-engine aircraft practiced flying at the Schoenwalde 53/Z 66) airfield between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.n. On 20 Larch, there was flying with single-engine and twin-engine aircraft at the field from 3 a.m. to 5 pee. On 25 March four political officers, including a lieutenant colonel, a major. and tre ca tains all of wham wore blue and eree ed at the field. The officers were picked up by a passenger car. 0 ? - 410 ? 50X1-HUM 50X1-HUM 2,, On 26 rarch, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., there was flying with 19 single-engine aircraft which took off in separate elements of two and assembled in two forma- tions in the air. It was observed that single-engine planes were parked in hangar No 10 and twin-engine planes in hangar No 11. Twin-engine aircraft were parked in front of hangar No 12 which had no rear wall and in which only damaged aircraft have been seen. Single-engine planes whose number and arrange- ment changed daily were parked south of buildings No 9 and 10. (1) 3. On 20 rarch? Lieutenant Colonel Ivanov, (fhu), and another air force officer inspected the lockers in all rooms of building block 23. There was intensive activity on the landing field and in the hangars between 20 and 30 Larch. So-- 50X1-HUM officers Ipassed the examination. 4. At 6:30 a.m. on 30 Larch, an alert was practiced by the air force unit. All officers of the flying personnel, technicians, ground personnel, and En assembled within a few minutes. On 3 April, ten single-engine aircrzft practiced flying at thp field between 8 aun. and 5 p.m. The weather was clear. Twelve other single-engine planes wore parked in front of the hangars. On 4 April, six tvin-enrine planes nrac- ticed flying from 8 aen. to 6 n.m. ix clear wen 9. On 14 Apriljtruck hauled two boxes belonging to Colonel Vereshchinski, (fnu), to Potsdam. Colonel Vereshchimti, (fnu), left for the u.s.s.n. on 5 April. He was going to mke a train from Potsdam-Wildpark to Aga where he would meet his rife and after his leave he had to go to a place where all the generals -ere statimed (sic), and he would be pro- moted to general after his leave. 10. On 5 April, there was flying with single-engine and twin-enfine aircraft between 8 a.n. and 6 p.m. in clear weather, An alert was practiced from 0 to 10 and all of the officers and 11.: rushed with their baggage to the landing field.
