? 1. (Unclassified - RJK) LIAISON Admiral Turner hosted a
breakfast briefing for Freshmen Democratic members of the 95th
Congress. The following members attended: Representatives Jim Mattox
(D., Texas), Bruce F,_,Xerttc3?.C,D. tr, Minn. ), Donald J. Pease (D., Ohio),
Andy Ireland (D:`, Florida), Daniel K. Akaka (D., Hawaii), David L.
Cornwell (D., Ind.) and Nick Joe Rahall (D., W. Va.). Admiral. Turner
briefed the group on the Agency role in intelligence and Admiral Murphy,
D/DCl/IC, filled in on the Intelligence Community. The members posed
a number of questions and were taken on a brief tour of the Agency Operations
Center. Three of the members requested unclassified Agency atlases or
publications and I will see that they are sent to them shortly.

4. (Internal Use Only - PLC) BRTEFING Met with Don Lynch,
staff member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and confirmed
a briefing on the Soviet navy threat to be given before the General
Procurement Subcommittee with other Members of the Committee to be
invited, to be held in Room 212 Russell Office Building, 10:00 a.m.
Friday, 11 March. If a statement is prepared, Mr. Lynch asked to be
provided a copy prior to the meeting for his review.
