Bromwell, Executive Secretary Also Present ivis. M. Forrester, DOJ SECOiv! 1. General. The Minutes of the 24 April 1985 meeting were approved as written. 2. Chairman's Report. At the IACSE 9 May 1985 meeting: - The April 1985 IACSE/ADPA physical security symposium was, according to critiques reviewed, well received. The 1986 symposium will also be co- sponsored by ADPA and may be held at Sandia Albuquerque or at Eglin AFB. - A Government to Industry "requirements" briefing will be given on 17 Sep 1985 in the GSA auditorium. One expert is working on the lock research effort and price quotes are being sought from the other two. The Barrier Subcommittee is collecting data on commercial barrier development; the National Academy of Sciences has contracted with Pt. Hueneme to work on window structures, etc. The IDS Subcommittee will revise the A-450 spec and work it through the FSS; Sandia has offered to review all IACSE-generated spec revisions at no cost. - Roy Abercrombie of Commerce has retired and Commerce has nominated a replacement to head the Guard/Patrol Equipment Subcommittee. Members were requested to provide the Chairman ASAP with the names/companies of nominees for the Contractor Seminar scheduled for Dec 1985; Army, Navy, AF and OSD have already done so; NSA will provide a duplicate listing to the Chairman as the original submission cannot be found. SECOM will cover costs (less transportation) for speakers and for FPS Members; contractors will cover their own expenses. 7. The Chairman requested nominations for stand-by films which can be used to cover blank periods at the seminars caused by failures of speakers to attend. Also requested were nominations for visual aids which will be obtained by the Chairman with budgeted SECOM funds. 8. Copies of the Consolidated Critique sheet and Issues Raised By Attendees at the May seminar were distributed. Also distributed were copies of the IACSE Support Services Contract briefing materials, and several product brochures. Documentation concerning a vehicle barrier is available on request from the Chairman; this device was briefed to the Chairman SECOM and the Chairman FPS; NSA requested a copy. ? 9. The Chairman reported receipt from the OSD member of the DOD Physical Security Review Board minutes of their 23 April 1985 meeting; copies available on request. 10. The Chairman reported receipt of an AF message which cited availability of a film dealing with terrorism; NSA and AF members requested copies. 11. The June-Dec 1985 meeting schedule will be: 19 Jun, 24 Jul, 21 Aug, 18 Sep, 23 Oct, 20 Nov, and no meeting in December. 12. The DOE Member will convene the Charter Review Working Group and will report on its findings at a future meeting. 13.
