1, The Stralsund-Parow (Li 55/P 44) airfield was not serviceable
in mid-February 1950 and no reconditioning work was under way.
The 35 x 400-meter landing ramp of the seaplane base was intact.
Four kaserne blocks were occupied by the stralsund Voikswerft
(nationalized shipyard).
2. 0n.10 February 1950 several soviet officers inspected the Stral-
sund airfield and seaplane base. It was rumored among the popu-
lation that all civilians had to leave Parow.
