COMMENT: This was the first SA-2 site in the Soviet Union to be converted to an
SA-5 site. The photograph below clearly shows the SA-5 launch positions within
the SA-2 site. However, the tracking and guidance facility is positioned outside
of the SA-2 SAM facility and is separately secured (See photo on back). The
purpose of this conversion probably was to use the SA-2 site signature as a
means of deception.
