2. (SWN) REMARKS: AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE TEST HAS OCCURRED AT SARY
SHAGAN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COMPLEX, FACILITY B. A LARGE,
BILATERAL BLAST MARK EXTENDS APPROXIMATELY 34 METERS ON THE
NORTH SIDE AND 42 METERS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE NEW W
PAPI- THE CRANE AND ALL OTHER SUPPORT EQUIPMENT PRESENT 25X1
HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE TEST AREA AND ARE NEAR THE 25X1
APEX BUILDING. PREPARATIONS FOR THTS TEST- THE SIXTH IN 1982,
HAVE BEEN IN PROGRESS SINCE AT LEAS THIS TESTING 25X1
PROBABLY REPRESENTS SUBSYSTEM DEVELOPMENT TED WITH A
DIRECTED ENERGY WEAPONS PROGRAM THOUGHT TO BE IN PROGRESS AT
THIS COMPLEX.
