Probable Tactical Air Defense Regional Training Area
COMMENT: Intelligence reports indicate the resence of Tactical Air Defense Regional
raining Areas in each military district (MD). One such example is at a SAM Support
acility in the Turkestan MD where equipment observed included three 23MM AA Gun ZU-23
atteries, three 57MM AA Gun S-60 batteries, two ZSU-23/4 batteries, five Flap Wheels,
nd one Flat Face. BRDM-2 SA-9 and SA-6 equipment are also present at this installation.
