Hail Suppression Rocket Launch Sites in Bulgaria
COMMENT: Twenty-five hail suppression rocket launch sites have been deployed in the
vicinity of Plovdiv and Nova Zagora in Bulgaria. The region between these cities is
important agriculturally and is devoted to the production of grain and fruit, both of
which are susceptible to hail damage. Each site measures 570 feet x 220 feet and
contain two launch pads, a control building, a service building and a storage building.
The launch area has a T or Y configuration. The sites are approximately 10 km apart.
Plovdiv and Nova Zagora area,
