1. Action Requested: Your approval to circu a e
NFIB consderation proposed physical security standards for
facilities.
2. Discussion: The Security Committee established in
1979 a working group with full Community participation to
review the 1973 USIB Physical Security Standards for Compart-
mented Information Facilities and to draft new standards for
STATINT1Lse with the 0 Special Access Control System. The result
of that group's effort was unanimously approved by Security
Committee members at their 9 July 1980 meeting. A copy of the
proposed printed version of these standards is attached.
3. Recommendation: That you approve circulation of
these dra t scan ards to the NFIB for their concurrence and
subsequent issuance by you as a policy document binding on the
Intelligence Community.
