Southeast Asian Operational Status - April 3, 1971 -- Two minor actions were reported which resulted in 5 U. S. soldiers wounded. There were no indirect fire attacks during the period. South Vietnamese units continued to redeploy from the LAM SON area. Various Allied units are screening this redeployment. Two Marino reconnaissance teams have lei Laos to rejoin parent units in South Vietnam There are now no South Vietnamese forces in Laos. The headquarters of the 308th North Vietnamese Division has moved 10 miles southwest of its last reported position. In the last $ weeks. the 3rd NVA Regiment of the 2nd Division has moved 80 miles north to join other ?mod NVA Division regiments in the LAM SON area of Laos. There have beery early morning showers and thunderstorms in the Tcheepoo area. An intercepted message reported that 152 'enemy" prisoners, including 3 U. S. pilots and a South Vietnamese colonel, were being hold at an undisclosed position.
