Press summaries here reportthat JCS are urging a faster with-
drawal and that Laird asserts that it is physically possible to
withdraw all troops by the end of this year. I need not stress the
disastrous implications of these speculations at this delicate
juncture. Please order immediate end to it. Get Haldeman to
call Laird to put teeth into it. Please see to it that it is enforced.
