-~. North Vietnam. may be preparing for wet season' resupply
procedures. Recent photography revealed road improvements
and bridge building south of Ban Karai and near Ban Phone.
In the central Laos Faxahandle there were numerous examples
o# heavy vehicle activity during the week. Intercepts indicated that
one logistics' unit would handle 50-60 trucks "every day, " and othOe~ s
referred to the large convoys going south toward Group 471. "
March 21, Group 471 reported that it had dispatched 90 vehicles.
__ Communications intelligence indicates that trenches are
being dug. along Routes 29 and 99 in the Panhandle for petroleum
storage tanks, which can be stored far more readily in a bomb-free
environment.
Vehicle. activity remains heavy in the southern Laos/Cambodia
border area. Un March 23, for example, Group 470 reported that
77 vehicles were "on the roads. " Further south, the Communist
resupply activity is being hindered somewhat by the recent sharp
increase in U. S. bombing in Cambodia.
.~- In eastern Cambodia, the pattern of.vehicle traffic flows

Vietnam. On March 21, 1, 100 tons of ordnance anal rice were shipped
in Quang Tri Province, at least 60 tons of ammunition were moved
on March 20 through Binh Tram 12's area, and on March 25 the same
Binh Trani handled 200 tons of ordnance. On March 23, a logistic
entity reported receiving 78 vehicles and 250 tans of weapons and
ammunition.
In the western sector o;f MR-I heavy activity was also apparent.

At Khe Sarah, photography on March 2l revealed a newly
