The priorities established in paragraph 3 of National Security Decision Memorandum 84 are illustrative. Within the budget level of the DPRC reduce l x rogram, the President will consider other possible force packages for General Purpose Forces. -these alternative packages of General Purpose Forces, together with their strategic and military implications. should be forwarded by October 15, for consideration by the DPRC and ultimately, the NSC.
