This is a final response to your 10 January 2013 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
request, submitted on behalf of Freedom Watch, received in the office of the Information and
Privacy Coordinator on 10 January 2013, for any documents that refer or relate to the following
in any way:
1. Any and all information that refers or relates in any way to the decision to
nominate Chuck Hagel for the position of Secretary of Defense.
2. Any and all information that refers or relates in any way to Chuck Hagel and
any of his public comments about Israel and Iran.
3. Any and all information that refers or relates in any way to the American Israel
Public Affairs Committee's ("AIPAC") decision not to oppose Chuck Hagel's
nomination for Secretary of Defense.
4. Any and all information that refers or relates in any way to the relationship of
Chuck Hagel to Steven J. Rosen, a top official at AIPAC, to President Barack H.
Obama and to the Obama administration as a whole.
The CIA is not the repository for records of other government agencies. The information
you seek would fall under the auspices of the Department of Defense (DoD). Please be aware that
