1. On 8 November 1.951 the Kwangsi branch of the Sino?Sc et Friendship
Associaticn (SSFA) organized four propaganda teams, each composed of two
to three Soviet persons and 30 to 50 persons appointed by the Chinese
Communists. The first team was responsible for propaganda work in a
sector west of Nanning; the second team northeast of Nanning; the third
to-am north of Nanning- and the fourth team southeast of Nanning. On the
fourth team were two Soviet members of the Kwangsi SSFA, NUNG Wei ( ' )
and KU(3 Chin (y
) .

t'he jurisdiction of the ead customs administration of the Peiping government,
the Pehai customs house was responsible for inspecting goods, collecting
duties, and handling foreign exchange settlements. It had for its use
three 20-ton customs patrol boats, each manned by two officers, two
engineers, and four sailors. The designations of these boats were Peihai
Customs Numbers 111 112, and 113. When patrolling the sea outside the
harbor they were armed; when operating in the harbor they were not.
