Mr. Jackson stated that the NSC Senior Staff had agreed on the
draft of the magnitude paper along the lines that were recommended.
Mr. Jackson reported that AD/NE and AD/CI were clasing on spot
estimates and that Dr. Langer had complained about the item in the Daily
Bulletin on the 0 operation as representing an official view of the
agency. The Director commented that Dr. Langer should recognize that
CI would be committing the agency to an official view in its Bulletin
and that NE should take the necessary steps for coordination.
Mr. L-j reported that it had been agreed that Gen.
would take over as irector of Communications.
The Director said that a meeting of the Psychological Strategy
Board should be called for Monday to meet with Gordon Gray and that
Mr. Harriman should be invited to attend.
