SUBJECT : 100 Universities Program
1. Last fall, because of the press of other commitments, the "100
Universities Program, " which has become a regular part of our annual campus
recruitment effort and in which a number of your senior officers participate,
was postponed will this spring.
2. he Director of Personnel Is now proposing In the attached memoran-
dum that the "100 Universities Program" be postponed indefinitely and a task
force be established to consider our future conduct of university relationships.
Before this proposal goes forward, I would like an opportunity to discuss it
with you or a senior member of your staff so the Executive Director-Comptroller
can have the benefit of our combined reactions.
3. If you will let me know who will represent you, I will try to arrange
a eosnmenient time to get together, preferably within the next four or five days.
