This memo gives the Statement of Missions.of the Reference Branch,
ORE in the CIG. Generally it is to centralize the various reference
functions related to the intelligence activities of the U.S. and to
provide a reference library. The responsibilities and statements of
function of the following reference branch sub-units. are given: the
Office of the Chief;I -the Executive Staff; the Coordinating Staff; the
Contact Control Register; the Biographical Intelligence Register; the
Central Index; the Foreign Industrial Register; Intelligence Documents and
Graphic Materials. An organization chart of the Reference Branch is also
furnished along with a personnel chart and lists of the offices and ranks
and numbers of each rank in the Branch.
