Baird about a meeting which he will have with the Personnel Procurement people. They claim that there are more women in the Agency than we want and that the turnover is too great. Col. Baird does not agree with this and thinks that a great many more jobs could be handled by women than is now the case. He feels this should be brought up at the next AD Is meeting. 25X1 25X1 25X1 0 Talked to Mr. Lloyd about a waiver of 1 -1 Told him 25X1 that Col. Edwards would not have his preliminary check finished. for a few days. 25X1 Called Mr. to get his ideas about a high-level briefing for a restricted number of newsmen. 25X1 40 Meeting with Mr. Pforzheimer about a message from the Bureau of the Budget in relation to a proposed announcement by the President at the time he signs the bill on Exchange of Atomic Information with the British. Told Mr. Pforzheimer that we could make no commitment on whether the President should or should not criticize the bill. Called and asked him to call Mr. Barrett at State in regard to Senator e s statement that Mr. Barrett claimed we were supporting a proposed publication by State.
