1. tin 30 July a. conference was held with of the
7tek Corporation in Lexington, Massachusetts. Work on Phase TT of the con-
tr~i.ct ha.s been underway for approximately -three weeks and fabrication of STATOTHR
Parts far the completed instrument ha.s begun. indicated that-the
fabrication of the completed instrument would mast likely require less than
3TATOTH R three months. has obtained some low a.Ititudephotography
which Itek wou ike to test in the completed instrument. A period of two
to three weeks would be required. to complei;e this test procedure and I saw
no objection in their use of the instrument to obtain specific information

2. A proposal was. made to that after the fabrication of the
instrument had been com feted the i ument would be sent to NPIC for

a month to-think this over and to see how the instrument was progressing.
STATOTH R It was agreed that the months eriod would be sufficient to better evaluate.
the contract status. s.Iso requested that Itek be allowed to
evaluate the Image Enhancemen iewer by using the low altitude photography
reproduced a.t different sea.les. Agreement wa.s reached on this point since
the information will be valuable to both. Itek and NPIC.
3. If the instrument is delivered to NP2C for completion of the final
test Phases of the contract, it wa.s agreed that a,11 notes a.nd conclusions
would be included in the technica,I manual to be completed by the Itek Corp.
and that an amendment to the contract be submitted by Itek covering the
cost differential for this change in the contract.
~-. It is therefore recommended that (1~ ~ period of one month elapse
for Itek to study the proposed change in this contract, (2~ Itek be allowed
to eva.l.ua~te low altitude photography a.t different scales, (3) NPIC make
preparations for eventual receipt and testin{; of the Image Enhancement
Viewer.
