This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips,
(D) administrative and troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) am-
munition storage areas, (G) POL storage areas, (H) other buildings and
facilities, (J) equipment storage/maintenance areas, (K) athletic fields,
(L) small arms firing ranges, (M) driver training areas, (N) tank/
assault gun firing ranges, (P) flat trajectory firing ranges, (Q) artillery
emplacements (batteries), (R) infantry or combined arias field train-
ing areas or courses, (S) special training facilities, (T) unidentified
facilities or tracking activity.

Chirchik Headquarters 376th lZifle Division
is located on the northern edgF~ of Chirchik
(Figure 1).
This installation covers approximately 124
acres and contains 4 barracks, 2 administration
buildings, 12 storage buildings, 21 support build-
ings, 8 vehicle sheds, 2 vehicle maintenance
buildings, an athletic field, and an open storage
area (Figures 2 and 3).
All-weather roads provide access to
Chirchik urban streets.
Administration and Troop Housing Area
Area D contains 4 barracks, 2 administra-
tion buildings, and 4 support buildings. One of
the support buildings was added
General Storage Areas
Area E1 contains 7 storage buildings and
12 support buildings.
Area E2 is an open storage area. Rows of
material were observed in this area on -
~overage.

Equipment Storage/Maintenance Areas
Area Jl contains one 325- by 45-foot vehicle
shed, 2 storage buildings, and 3 support build-
ings.
Area J2 contains 2 vehicle maintenance
buildings (one 190 by 100 feet and one 150 by 75
feet), '7 vehicle sheds (three 285 by 40 feet and
four 2fi0 by 5t) feet), 3 storage buildings (270 by
60 feet}, and ~: support buildings (240 by 60 feet).
Forty-four tanks/SP guns, 11 cargo trucks, and
7 probable utility trucks were observed in this
coverage.
Athletic Field
Area K is an athletic field located on the
southern edge of the installation.
