The depot and docking installation under study is located on the north
bank of the Cua Cam (river) et coordinates 20 52 28N - 106 40 30E. The
installation is annotated on the enclosed map (Figure 1), end is outlined on
the enclosed annotated photograph (Figure 3). Table 1 contains a probable
description and dimensions of the buildings at the installation. The annotated
items listed in Table 1 end appearing in the text ere keyed to the enclosed line
drawing (Figure 2). All measurements have been made by the CIA/IAD/IB pro,)ect
analyst. They should be consSdered as approximate and must not be taken as
official NPIC mensuration data compiled by the Technical Intelligence Division,
NPIC.
The installation consists of two man-made islands which are surrounded by
water only et high tide. The larger island (Annotation C) is connected to the
ausewey approach (Annotation A) end a causeway (Annotation B).

switched to the new T-Head pier here it appeared that the old 2 5X1
pier had been partially dismantled end allowed to deteriorate.

The facility, as it appeared is a complete depot and dock-
ing installation. The new building had been completed, and eight horizontal
_ storage tanks (Annotation 27) had been installed on the smeller island. Security
for the installation consists of a wall on the north, es~,st; and west sides of
the larger island; a probable guardhouse, trench, and tkiree automatic weapons -
type implacements on the causeway approach (Annotation A); and an occupied AAA
site approximet?ely 2000' west of the installation. .
Although the installation apparently serves as a depot and docking facility,
and in general has the appearance of a military installation, there is no photo-
graphic evidence that the installation services infiltration boats that transport
? arms from Ilorth Vietnam tp South Vietnam. Cargo has never been observed arriving,
being stored, or being loaded on boats. The general absence of boats at the
facility during daylight indicates probable night-time boat loading activity.
