This 'memorandum is submitted in answer to a requ
levation difference and a horizontal ground distance
elected points imaged in three photographic negatives
by the requester.
ord=ir to acs, omnUsh this, contact prints and glass plate
diapositives were made from the negatives, The elevation measure
rents were made from the lass plates by means of the
terc?hotearark$ktric plotter.
The enclosed annotated nhotor-rar indicates the two points

The elevation difference is-
ers, The ? round distance between "d" and the tint midway between
zits "A" and 13" has been determined as
25X1 D
The elev xtion of point "J" was determined by interpolation of
the rah of the profile determined by the elevations urn'hed by
the requester. This was necessary as insufficient forward overlap
b-etrwreen exposures was orovided for the required aerotriangulation.
The corapited ground distance is believed to be correct within
using as a basis the round distances furnished by the
r nester.
The elevation di.ffnrnce is believed to be quite reliable.
The latest instrument available was used. However. excess tilt
?.06 grade), Insufficient overlap of the photographs Moss than
50$) and the fact that the focal length/flying altitude relation-
ships were questionable are possible causes of error. In spite of
these .possible causes of error, the elevations of other ground
points and the building heights furnished by the requester were
checked and the instrument readings- agree, within one foot of
~iie v3tion, with those sup?,lied.
