Listings of GMAIC Evaluations on Soviet Surface-to-
Surface Missile Deployment Locations
l,, Attached are the GMAIC approved evaluations of all locations which have
been examined in detail by its Dep Working Group with the objective of
determining the likelihood of their long range surface-to-surface missile
launch sites, About 235 named locations or areas were examined and listed,
but in some cases proximate locales or alternate names have been grouped so
that only 181 actual evaluations have been indicated, The listings include
those places analized in. detail in the GMAIC-Dt R ort, Soviet Surface-to-
Surface Missile Deployment,, (Control No. dated 1 January 1~ 2,
Both are considered sensitive and should be handled on a strict need to know
basis.
2., It should be noted that all suspect locations are subject to continuous
review. Even when a location has been evaluated as negative, all evidence
including photography will continue to be reviewed for deception, new

based on the latest data and are subject to change as new evidence is made
available,, Accordingly, these listings will be revised periodically to reflect
additions and changes in evaluations,
