HIGH-FREQUENCY RECEIVING STATION
SE-MIYARSKOYE, USSR
A high-frequency receiving station is located 60 nautical miles
(nm) west of Semipalatinsk and 15 nm southeast of Semiyarskoye at
50-43N '8-37 E (Figure 1). This station, which covers approximately
70 acres, is enclosed by a single fence and is served by an all-weather
road (Figure 2). A guardhouse is located immediately inside the en-
trance to the station. The station consists primarily of a fenced control
area containing six single-story buildings centered in an antenna field
of five double-hay fishbone antennas, four of which appear to be arranged
in pairs for space diversity reception. The overall dimensions of each

of the antennas are 2QO by lh0 feet, and the supporting poles are 40
feet tall. The azimuths of the antennas are shown in Figure 2. No
transmitting facility was identified in the area.
