h?storica:l data on US and Sovietrnrocurement of weapons
systems. The attached tables present a picture of US
and Soviet procurement of. major military hardware
items during 1953-1974. The data were prepared in
response t~ a request from Andy Marshall, Director,
Net Assessment. The US numbers were developed by
DoD/PACE. As you will note, the tables a.re considered
workincr papers and should not be used in published
documents without our. prior approval. ,
